Maternal Mental Health

Navigating the emotional challenges of early parenthood can be overwhelming. Whether you’re dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression, or the identity shifts that come with parenthood, I’m here to help. My approach integrates trauma-focused therapy and compassionate care to provide the support you need during this life-changing time. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences and current stressors impact your emotional well-being, building resilience and fostering self-compassion. If you’re seeking guidance in managing anxiety or the complexities of perinatal mental health, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. By using bilateral stimulation, EMDR targets the root causes of negative self-beliefs and helps the brain reprocess distressing memories. This therapy is highly effective for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and more. Through EMDR, individuals can move past emotional roadblocks and achieve greater peace, strength, and resolution, allowing them to live with more confidence and ease.

COUPLES COUNSELING

Working with couples, I draw on attachment theory to move beyond right and wrong, focusing on how early life experiences shape present-day interactions. Many relationship conflicts stem from unresolved pain or unmet needs from childhood or past relationships. By addressing these deeper layers, I help couples reduce defensiveness and increase empathy, communication, and understanding. Couples counseling isn’t just for those in crisis—many partners use it as a tool to maintain and strengthen their bond. Whether you’re navigating stress, or seeking to deepen your connection, I’ll meet you where you are and help you achieve your relationship goals.

dating support

Whether you’re single and searching, in a relationship and feeling uncertain, or navigating the early stages of a commitment, I’m here to help you find clarity. Dating can feel like a rollercoaster—the excitement, vulnerability, and fear of rejection can all be overwhelming. For those in relationships, you may be wondering if this is truly the right person or trying to balance your needs with theirs without feeling like you’re settling. Together, we’ll explore your values, needs, and goals to help you make confident choices and build more fulfilling connections.

A [therapist] is one to whom one may pour out the contents of one’s heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.
