Suzanne Bartholomew, LCSW
Hi, I’m Suzanne Bartholomew, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Austin, Texas. Growing up just outside of Boston as the daughter of a therapist and a psychiatrist, I was influenced by their passion for mental health and inspired to pursue my own journey into this field.
I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and have gained extensive experience in various therapeutic settings. My career began in substance abuse treatment, where I witnessed the emotional pain often drives individuals to seek escape. This insight guided me toward trauma-focused therapy, including training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I now integrate into my practice.
I believe in a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy. My goal is to create a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I strive to meet clients wherever they are on their journey, focusing on their unique clinical needs and fostering resilience.
I am passionate about empowering individuals to reclaim their emotional well-being and build meaningful connections with themselves and others. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and I am dedicated to providing comprehensive support tailored to each client's needs.
When I’m not in session, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my kids, unwinding with some reality TV, or diving into a good book.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and Massachusetts. I am a contracted provider for Lyra Health.
